Severus,
Where are you? You were supposed to meet me this afternoon in my office so that we could discuss the arrangement for the rest of the school year. Dumbledore told me that you had agreed to brew the Wolfsbane potion for me and that we should meet to discuss the details. The full moon was not long past, so it will be a while before I require the first batch.
Look, I know I’m not your favorite person and never have been, but that is no reason we cannot be cordial and professional now that we are colleagues here at Hogwarts. We’re not kids any more. We’re just two professors. Can’t we put our past differences behind us and behave like responsible adults? If I did’t think that were possible, I wouldn’t have accepted the position here, you know. I respect you, Severus. Your skills as potions master are outstanding, and I trust you to brew this complicated potion for me every month. But, moreover, I would like us to be friends.
We have more in common than I think you can imagine.
