Dear Harry,
I decided to take the day off today. The day was just too beautiful outside—blue skies, white clouds, blooming flowers. I couldn’t stand being trapped underground cultivating potions ingredients and brewing potions they already have in abundance on the apothecary shelves.
There I’m staying home today to have some fun. I thought about calling up Pansy or Astoria for a fling, and then I thought you might come home at any moment and catch us. I said goodbye to that thought and hello to a much better one (okay, to be honest, I didn’t actually think about calling those women; I was hoping to make you jealous… did it work?).
What idea did I really have? Let’s just say it starts out with me drinking three cups of tea for breakfast followed by chugging down a whole pitcher of water. Then I took a stomach calming potion because I drank that water much too quickly; that wasn’t part of the original plan. The next part involved me sitting down with parchment and my quill to write you a letter or two.
Do you see where I’m going with this yet?
If not… you soon will.
